For this competition Sound Designers were required to Download the competition package that includes a clip from the Video Game Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed™ (courtesy of Electronic Arts) and sound effects (courtesy of The Hollywood Edge). The sounds used in the project were limited to the sound set provided in the package, but could be edited and manipulated in an infinite number of ways.
During the digital audio recording and production systems course 2012, students were challenged to replicate this exercise as a Sound Design training practice, which resulted in 11 different projects that where all very distinct.
